Ok, so my preferred medium is pencil and ink, or colored pencils, or colored pencils and ink. Currently I really love Rose Art's colored pencils, but I've been wondering what everyone else thinks is good so I have a couple different options to try out. Crayola I find the lead is too soft and the colors aren't as rich or shadeable through applying different pressure or cross-hatching, and that's why I love Rose Art, harder lead, richer colors, easy to pressure shade and cross-hatch without it looking like crap, wide variety of colors, etc.
Any opinions? I've seen lots of colored pencil works with colors I've yet to find in the Rose Art line and have been wondering what brand(s) they might be from, or if it's just skills I've yet to pick up with base colors. |
